Hello ladies and gents! What's up???? Today has been a good day, and I made some things to decorate the kitchen with in our house.

So, when we first moved in (we moved in in August of last year), things were just not going the way we planned. The house was foreclosed, and had been vacant for a year. Needless to say, there were a lot of things that needed attention before we could move in. We knew we wanted to paint before we got all the furniture in, etc., so we started in the kitchen. The walls looked like they had never been painted (stains everywhere), and there was a horrible wall paper border that went all the way around the kitchen close to the ceiling (no offense to those of you who like wall paper). So, we started to peel the wall paper off the walls, and I had to double look when my dad called for my attention... THE PAINT UNDER THE WALLPAPER WAS PEELING OFF WITH IT... AND NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THE FIRST LAYER OF DRYWALL WAS COMING OFF TOO!!! This was horrible. So, long story short, we peeled off what we needed to, plastered, sanded, primed, and painted the entire kitchen. I had a color theme that I wanted to achieve... gray, aqua blue, white, and black. So, my original plan was to do a stripe with pinstripes on the walls with paint. That was a disaster, when I went to peel the tape off the wall, it did exactly what the walls had done before, so we fixed everything and just kept the kitchen with white walls... so that's when I decided to put my creativeness to use in our kitchen and make some art. I have some art that I have made already in my kitchen (I can take pictures later of it), and I was looking around, and decided that I needed some more art. One thing that I am really into right now is how cute cakes/cupcakes/and icecream cones are. I got the Sweet Treats cartridge out, and went to town. However, I added a color to highlight different things in the cuts... PINK! Who could resist, and MY HUSBAND APPROVED! HE ACTUALLY LIKED THE COLOR PINK I PICKED OUT... and I glittered it.. LOL!! Well, let's get on to it!!

Here is the cake that I made at 5 inches, and backed it with a black piece of paper cut at 4"x6".

Here is a piece of cake/pie that I cut at 5 inches as well, and backed it with a black piece of paper cut at 4"x6".

This is the ice cream sundae that was VERY cute in Sweet Treats, I cut this at 5 inches as well, and backed it with a gray piece of paper cut at 4"x6".

This next piece came out a little larger, even though it was still cut at 5 inches. This one I had to back with a white piece of paper cut at 8"x10".

I hope you guys enjoyed my little story that I felt I had to share to let you know why I was decorating with "pictures" instead of just painting my walls. :) Thank you for sharing it with me!!!!

More!

Gosh! I was on a roll today! I made three things! Wooo hooo! The first one I was just playing around with some scrap paper and it turned out pretty cute. It was a pretty easy card to make.

This next card looks a lot better in person. I don't like how it turned out in photo form, but any who. I am glad that making cards doesn't involve walking around a lot, because if that were the case, I would REALLY have nothing to do. Thank goodness for paper crafts!!!

Have a great night everyone!!!

My Pink Stamper Saturday Challenge

Hello! If you didn't already know this, Robyn of My Pink Stamper, had a challenge starting today. Whatever we created had to be cut with the cricut and include these colors: pink, green, and black. Of course I had to include my girl in it... HELLO KITTY! It seems like there were a few other people who decided to use her as well, but who can resist??? Here is my entry, and I hope you enjoy!!

Progress

All right!! So, with my doctor appointment being tomorrow morning, and I am getting my stitches taken out; I thought I would make a few cards for some birthdays coming up. I won't say who these are for so I don't ruin the surprise!

With my knee being the way it is, when I want to cut something out with my cricut, I chose one cartridge, and use only that one while I am working so I don't have to go through a course to get another one. Today, I used Sweet Treats.

Here is the first:

Now, this next card I went all out on... You know when you are in a craft store, and you see something SUPER cute that you think you could use on a card? Well, I found a really cute set of stickers, and they were SO CUTE, that I never wanted to use them... LOL! So, I chose one of the "less cute" stickers, and justified it in my head that I had to use it because I wanted this card to be really stinkin' cute. Drum roll please...

I loved this darn thing! Everything on it screams glitter- which is fabulous!
I also included a picture of the inside of this card, because it's pretty cute too, and I used another couple of stickers on the inside.

Well, I hope that you enjoyed what I was doing today. I certainly did! Feel free to leave comments or questions! Have a great night!!

"Cricut Room"

Happy Easter everyone! It's been a while since I posted last, but I had some time to take a few pictures of my "cricut room". I am very proud and amazed at how it turned out after everything was put into place and painted. I love everything about this area.

Here is a view from behind the table looking toward the door... I know, there isn't a door yet, but that's because we moved into this house last summer and the door was broken, and we haven't found a replacement yet. LOL

This next picture is a second view, looking the other direction toward the window from standing behind the table. My wonderful paperstacker is in plain view!

The best view is next! It's when you are standing in the doorway about to come through the door. It shows my table, my cute storage, the paperstacker, etc! You can even see my shelf full of Hello Kitty stuff!!!!!!

Well, I hope that you have enjoyed this post today. If there are any accessories that you want a closer look at, let me know and I will be glad to take a picture of it and let you know (if I can remember) where I got it from. I hope to be able to get in there today to make a few things and play around. Now that I have cleaned it, of course I have to go in there and mess it up!!!!!
