Getting Things Ready

Hello! I have been busy with work AND trying to get some more things finished for my sale on Etsy! I officially have a store on Etsy called Cassie's Creations, and here is a sneak peek into what Halloween things I am going to have on there... There are four treat bag toppers, and I need to practice with the lighting and taking better pictures, but you get the idea. Not all of them say Happy Halloween, all of them say something different. I hope you enjoy!

Have a great night!

Sunday, August 1, 2010

Hello! I think it's been quite some time since I have been able to get into my craft room!!! Well, today I had the whole day free, and decided to come up with a few things to sell in my etsy store! My friend Jennifer told me about it, and I thought, "What is there to lose??" So needless to say, I set one up last night and I have been working hard to get some things put together to sell. Here are a few things that I have been working on...

I got the Mini Monsters cartridge, and I wanna do a few things with these. I also might just sell them as die cuts. I have made 12 of each little monster on here so far, and I plan on making a few more different monsters.

I also made a couple of VERY simple cards using some Halloween stickers that I found at Archiver's. They turned out pretty cute! I also have about four other cards that I have made, but I picked out the best ones to post on here.

Okay, so as you can probably tell, I am SOOOO ready for Fall! I cannot wait for the holidays, and the weather that goes along with it! I would be perfectly fine if Summer never came around.
On another note, I had a couple of awesome customers who I had the pleasure of helping a week ago or so, and I made a cute card for them! I wanted to thank them for how great they have been, and I love the way the card came out. I used Create a Critter for the pig. CUTE!

Well, that is all I have to report at this time. OH! And if you get a chance, if you have heard about the Cricut Imagine, feel free to please leave a comment about your thoughts on this creation. I want to know what everyone else is thinking about this thing. Have a great week!

Monday, July 5, 2010

Hello errrrr' body! I hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July! Now, it's back to reality starting tomorrow morning. (I have a feeling we are going to be really REALLY busy at work.) I didn't really have a chance to come up with anything this weekend, although I have been messing around with the new Cupcake Wrappers cartridge from Walmart... I will have to post some of those soon... I can finally post the cake I worked on last weekend. This was my first cake that I made using the Circut Cake! I'm pretty happy with how things turned out. I also got a taste of how long things need to sit and harden before you start to work with them... :) I'm pretty sure that I have a cake to make toward the end of the month, and I'm excited to get started on it!! Well here is the picture...

I didn't really like how the "birthday" came out. The fondant I was working with was getting a little too warm and it was starting to stretch and get really lazy. So when I went to apply it, it was a little lop-sided. I thought the lady bugs came out SUPER cute, and I was very happy with them!! I will definitely be using those on my next cake! Well, it's bed time for me, and I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Sunday

What can one say about Sunday?? It's a lazy day. It's the day before the workweek. It's church day. It's decorate a cake day! Well, actually, I have been doing it now for two days... and I finally finished it! It looks so cute, and I will probably be posting pictures in a couple of days of it. I'm taking it to work tomorrow to share with the girls, and I can't wait to taste it!!!

I can't believe the fourth of July is next week! How time is flying by! Does anyone have any awesome plans?? I hope that the weather is nice out, because I would love to sit out on our porch and watch the fireworks with a nice cold drink in my hands! Wahooooo!!

I haven't really gotten to play a lot in my Cricut room this week, I had to make some more invites for a friend, but that was work time!! I feel like I have so much stuff going on! It's nice to feel like this though instead of not feeling useful.

Well, I hope everyone has a nice Sunday evening and a great beginning to the work week! I wish everyone who is trying out for the My Pink Designers luck this week! I bet everyone's creations are great!!!

P.S. I can't wait for the Cricut Lite Cartridges to come out at Walmart!!! They will be mine!! LOL

Baby Baby Baby

These are for my friend Kiley! The first one here is just a single piece of cardstock, and the white piece on the front is for the information to the baby shower. I hate that my room distorts the color of these! It adds a yellow tint to everything, I'm sorry by the way! The lady bug card is an actual folding card, so I would add the info to the inside.

Baby Time

Hello! I made baby shower cards today! Yay!!!

The boy card is blue, I swear. The lighting in my room makes it look green. :)

Tons of Stuff!

Hi everyone! So, as you all may know, I am back to work now full time, and I thought that I wouldn't have enough time to scratch my crafting itch... Boy was I wrong! I was feeling it a lot last weekend, and spent every minute I was awake in my craft room! I will warn you... there are quite a few cards to look at! Dad... if for some weird reason you are looking at this, STOP! (I posted your father's day card on here...)

The first card is a sympathy card that I made. (As if you couldn't figure that out for yourselves.)

This next card is an invitation that I made for one of my friends, who was wanting a sample of something "princessee" for some young girls. I think this turned out rather cute... I used two different tones of pink, and I hate that the light in my room gives a yellow tone to everything... Sorry about that.

This next card I was able to take in the natural light, which is GREAT! I did this card twice, but I used two different embossing folders on the cards. This first one has the circles, and the next has the crazy squares!

Here is the father's day card that I made for my daddy. Here is the back story:
A long time ago... I think I was probably 9 or 10 I think, I had gotten some stencils with my colored pencil set. Of course, this was just in time for father's day, and one of the stencils was of a dinosaur. So, I used the dinosaur for my dad's card, and put a little pink heart inside of it, and gave it to him. Now, that I have gotten older, I decided it was time to reinvent the card I made 15 or so years ago, and bring him back to the good old days. I think it turned out SOOOOO super cute!

Here is a little Christmas card that I made and I love the way it turned out. IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY TO THINK ABOUT CHRISTMAS!!

This last card I made for one of my dear coworkers. I am so glad that I met this nice lady, and I am going to be very sad if one of us ever quits and we won't be able to work with one another any more. She obviously loves owls.

Well, I hope that you all liked my cards this week. I also hope that I didn't overload you. :) I think I am going to try to post things every week. I am going to try to make stuff through out the week, and then find one day to post everthing I make. I think that will be the easiest way to get all my stuff on here. Well, I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day!!

I'm Sad

So, I am pretty sure that my days of being off work because of my knee are over. I can actually walk now! I'm really sad that I won't be able to do paper crafts as much in the very near future. So... I have posted some things that I have done in the past couple of days. I hope you enjoy!

Physical Therapy

Hello! I got some inspiration to make a card this weekend. I finally got Create a Critter, and I am in the same boat as a lot of people... I love it. It is just sooo diverse and I feel like with every project I make there is something on that cartridge that I can use! So... I have been going to physical therapy for a few weeks now, and this last week my physical therapist was on vacation. I saw on the cartridge that there is a whale, and I thought I would do something funny and say "Welcome back," but say "Whalecome back." The letters are from Hello Kitty font, and everything else that I cut out is from the CAC cart. I hope you guys enjoy!!

Challenge 9 and 10

Hello! I am about scrapped out!! Whew! Ok... so here are my finished products for the challenges. They are in order, first is #9 and the next is #10. I hope everyone has a great remainder of the weekend!!

Challenge 8

Yay! I finally had some time today to do Challenge number 8 on MPS! I decided to kill two birds with one stone, and do the challenge and make my grandma a mother's day present. Last year, I re-wrote her recipe cards out, and I thought that making dividers would be an awesome present! I hope you enjoy them!

Challenge 11

Hey everyone! I'm sorry, but I know this one is out of order. You know when you see the different challenges, and one automatically pops out and you have inspiration for it... you gotta do it first! So, I did Challenge 11- Colors of the Rainbow. Enjoy!

Challenge 5

Here is the 5th challenge. I really wanted to participate in this one, because I feel like there are a lot of cartridges that have "teachery" things on them! I made an appreciation card. Although I don't currently have a teacher, maybe this will come in handy down the road.

Challenge 3

I'm sorry for the weird background on this one, but I wanted to get it in the light from outside, and had to put it on the floor. :)
This challenge included something kind of out of the ordinary. The one thing I was thinking about that I hadn't ever used was my crop-a-dile. So, I went to town on this one with it and made a birthday card! Enjoy!

MPS NSD Challenges! Challenge 1

For the first challenge today, I decided to make a scrapbook page of my mom. I got a new punch last night and wanted to use it, and I think it tuned out great!!!!! The colors didn't come out really well, because I had natural light to the left, and a yellowish light to the right. The colors I used were purple, orange, and yellow. Enjoy!

Thursday, April 29, 2010

Hello ladies and gents! What's up???? Today has been a good day, and I made some things to decorate the kitchen with in our house.

So, when we first moved in (we moved in in August of last year), things were just not going the way we planned. The house was foreclosed, and had been vacant for a year. Needless to say, there were a lot of things that needed attention before we could move in. We knew we wanted to paint before we got all the furniture in, etc., so we started in the kitchen. The walls looked like they had never been painted (stains everywhere), and there was a horrible wall paper border that went all the way around the kitchen close to the ceiling (no offense to those of you who like wall paper). So, we started to peel the wall paper off the walls, and I had to double look when my dad called for my attention... THE PAINT UNDER THE WALLPAPER WAS PEELING OFF WITH IT... AND NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THE FIRST LAYER OF DRYWALL WAS COMING OFF TOO!!! This was horrible. So, long story short, we peeled off what we needed to, plastered, sanded, primed, and painted the entire kitchen. I had a color theme that I wanted to achieve... gray, aqua blue, white, and black. So, my original plan was to do a stripe with pinstripes on the walls with paint. That was a disaster, when I went to peel the tape off the wall, it did exactly what the walls had done before, so we fixed everything and just kept the kitchen with white walls... so that's when I decided to put my creativeness to use in our kitchen and make some art. I have some art that I have made already in my kitchen (I can take pictures later of it), and I was looking around, and decided that I needed some more art. One thing that I am really into right now is how cute cakes/cupcakes/and icecream cones are. I got the Sweet Treats cartridge out, and went to town. However, I added a color to highlight different things in the cuts... PINK! Who could resist, and MY HUSBAND APPROVED! HE ACTUALLY LIKED THE COLOR PINK I PICKED OUT... and I glittered it.. LOL!! Well, let's get on to it!!

Here is the cake that I made at 5 inches, and backed it with a black piece of paper cut at 4"x6".

Here is a piece of cake/pie that I cut at 5 inches as well, and backed it with a black piece of paper cut at 4"x6".

This is the ice cream sundae that was VERY cute in Sweet Treats, I cut this at 5 inches as well, and backed it with a gray piece of paper cut at 4"x6".

This next piece came out a little larger, even though it was still cut at 5 inches. This one I had to back with a white piece of paper cut at 8"x10".

I hope you guys enjoyed my little story that I felt I had to share to let you know why I was decorating with "pictures" instead of just painting my walls. :) Thank you for sharing it with me!!!!

More!

Gosh! I was on a roll today! I made three things! Wooo hooo! The first one I was just playing around with some scrap paper and it turned out pretty cute. It was a pretty easy card to make.

This next card looks a lot better in person. I don't like how it turned out in photo form, but any who. I am glad that making cards doesn't involve walking around a lot, because if that were the case, I would REALLY have nothing to do. Thank goodness for paper crafts!!!

Have a great night everyone!!!

Birthday Time

Hello! Long time no post! A friend's birthday is coming up in a couple weeks and I made her card today! She loves owls, so I thought this would be perfect! I will probably post more this weekend.

My Pink Stamper Saturday Challenge

Hello! If you didn't already know this, Robyn of My Pink Stamper, had a challenge starting today. Whatever we created had to be cut with the cricut and include these colors: pink, green, and black. Of course I had to include my girl in it... HELLO KITTY! It seems like there were a few other people who decided to use her as well, but who can resist??? Here is my entry, and I hope you enjoy!!

Progress

All right!! So, with my doctor appointment being tomorrow morning, and I am getting my stitches taken out; I thought I would make a few cards for some birthdays coming up. I won't say who these are for so I don't ruin the surprise!

With my knee being the way it is, when I want to cut something out with my cricut, I chose one cartridge, and use only that one while I am working so I don't have to go through a course to get another one. Today, I used Sweet Treats.

Here is the first:

Now, this next card I went all out on... You know when you are in a craft store, and you see something SUPER cute that you think you could use on a card? Well, I found a really cute set of stickers, and they were SO CUTE, that I never wanted to use them... LOL! So, I chose one of the "less cute" stickers, and justified it in my head that I had to use it because I wanted this card to be really stinkin' cute. Drum roll please...

I loved this darn thing! Everything on it screams glitter- which is fabulous!
I also included a picture of the inside of this card, because it's pretty cute too, and I used another couple of stickers on the inside.

Well, I hope that you enjoyed what I was doing today. I certainly did! Feel free to leave comments or questions! Have a great night!!

"Cricut Room"

Happy Easter everyone! It's been a while since I posted last, but I had some time to take a few pictures of my "cricut room". I am very proud and amazed at how it turned out after everything was put into place and painted. I love everything about this area.

Here is a view from behind the table looking toward the door... I know, there isn't a door yet, but that's because we moved into this house last summer and the door was broken, and we haven't found a replacement yet. LOL

This next picture is a second view, looking the other direction toward the window from standing behind the table. My wonderful paperstacker is in plain view!

The best view is next! It's when you are standing in the doorway about to come through the door. It shows my table, my cute storage, the paperstacker, etc! You can even see my shelf full of Hello Kitty stuff!!!!!!

Well, I hope that you have enjoyed this post today. If there are any accessories that you want a closer look at, let me know and I will be glad to take a picture of it and let you know (if I can remember) where I got it from. I hope to be able to get in there today to make a few things and play around. Now that I have cleaned it, of course I have to go in there and mess it up!!!!!

Easter Gift Bag Toppers

Yay! I got them done tonight! The part that took the longest was downloading it from my phone to the computer! My husband delivered them to my mom, which I was kind of sad that I wasn't able to be there when he gave them to her. You know how it is- that's the BEST part! To see their face when they take their first look at it is priceless.

For the "Happy Easter," I used a stamp from Stampin' Up and embossed it in silver. Then I cut out a bird on the Cricut, I believe that I used Home Decor, and used Martha Stewart glitters to glitter them. They are so precious!! Thanks for looking!

Tonight's Project

Hello! All right, so as everyone probably knows, this Sunday is Easter. My mom took Thursday and Friday off of work, so that means that she just has to work tomorrow until next Monday. Well, I asked her if she needed me to do anything for her (craft wise), and she said that I could make her some treat bags! So, that is going to be my project for tonight. Of course I am going to take pictures, and if I don't post it tonight, I will definitely get it on here tomorrow!

Last One for Today... I PROMISE!

All right, so here is the other picture I wanted to add in the same post as the one with the derby poster. I made this birthday card for whoever's birthday is coming up next (I hope it's a girl's birthday). I used Stampin' Up stamps for the cupcakes and for the "happy birthday." Please let me know if you have any questions about anything I post on here. I will be happy to answer!

Yet Another Post

I feel like I have been doing nothing but posting these past couple days, but I don't really have anything else I can do while I am down and out. I'm tired of watching TV, and I thought I would add a few more pictures of things I have done on here while I have the time.

This poster I did was for a roller derby team/league that is here in the Kansas City area. I met a few of the girls at a local skating rink that I attended before I injured my knee. I definitely plan on going back there once I am back in order, but for the time being, this is how I show my support.

I had so much fun doing this poster for them. I know it is kind of hard to see it in the picture, but there is a small border that goes around the outer edge, and the "team" names are glittered. Also, the background of the "team" names are embossed with stars by using the Cuttlebug. If you are interested in making scrapbook pages, cards, etc., I HIGHLY recommend getting the Cuttlebug. It is such a COOL tool to use!!!
I will have to post one more time today, because I have something else to share, but I am still trying to get the hang of loading pictures on here. It's the weirdest thing, or I am just not getting it. It's probably the operator... :)

My Pink Stamper Challenge

Hello! One of the things that I am very into is following My Pink Stamper. I love her website, and I like to participate in challenges that she is doing. She had one for us on Sunday(yesterday), which it was to make a Springy scrapbook page or card. I made this card and I think it came out really cute! I used my Cricut and Cuttlebug on this project, along with a stickle. Thanks for looking!!

Sunday, March 28, 2010

This is the first of three that I am going to share today. I made these for Halloween in 2009 for my mom to take to work. They are cake pops that, I feel like, take forever to complete! There has got to be another way to do these delicious things!

This next picture is of a father's day card that I made for my dad. I love how it turned out!

The last card was made for one of my friends. It is a sympathy card that, I'm sorry to say, enjoyed making. It's one of those things that comes around every once in a while that you are sorry to see happen, but they make for some great cards that make the receivers feel a little better.

Now, I know that I don't have any followers right now because I just started, but if you find yourself on here and have a request for something- PLEASE let me know! I can also make something and ship it to you if you need! Please let me know if you have any requests!

First Blog

Hi Ladies and Gents! This is of course my first blog, and I wanted to start this because I love doing crafty things and I want to share them with everyone! Feel free to post comments or what have you. I have just one thing to share right now, I still need to take pics of other things. This is a birthday card that I made for my Aunt. Please enjoy!
